Here at Prece we have experienced first hand the effect this pandemic has had on children and parents. As part of our continued effort to support the families in our communities we have launched Prece's very first Virtual Montessori School, The Modern Montessori School. 

After many months of tireless efforts from our teachers, administration, management team and supportive parents, we have put together a model that we believe will provide your child with quality Montessori education wherever they may be.

We stress that this is only the first step in our journey, and that our program will evolve along the way as we incorporate feedback from both parents and teachers. We invite you to join us on this journey of bringing traditional Montessori education into the 21st Century like never before.

What is a Modern Montessori School?

Our Modern Montessori School offers an authentic Montessori education to children through an alternative learning environment. We believe providing a sensorial experience with concrete Montessori materials for your child is key to their development and engagement with our teachers. Our live-streamed interactive classes are taught by Montessori certified teachers from inside a Montessori classroom where they will present lessons using the concrete Montessori materials during class. The lessons given during class are personalized and prepare your child to work with the materials independently. Students will practice using these materials repeatedly to develop their ability and understanding of the desired skills and concepts. The Montessori materials are specifically designed with a natural control of error built in to support the child’s independence in mastering a specific skill and/or concept. Given the importance of these concrete materials,  families may rent them or create your own with resources provided by us!

Low Student to Teacher Ratio

While the Modern Montessori School is not bound by the constraints of a physical classroom, we continue to maintain limited ratios to ensure your child receives a uniquely personalized education.

Staying Connected

Classes are streamed live using Video Conferencing technology. This technology is also utilized to provide one-to-one feedback to each child. Online lessons are accompanied by concrete Montessori materials to support your child’s engagement with the class.  

Parent Support

We strive to foster a community where parents have the opportunity to learn together! As part of this effort, Prece teachers proudly provide education and support to parents. 

Upon enrolling at the Modern Montessori School, you will be provided with: 

  • A one-to-one parent orientation before your child begins providing the basic Montessori philosophy and educational goals necessary to have a successful parent/teacher partnership,
  • Helpful instructions and guidelines during class,
  • Ongoing email communication between teachers and parents 
  • Teacher availability for parents to schedule 30 minute one-on-one sessions once every other week,
  • Access to Transparent Classroom
  • Parent teacher conferences twice a year.
